Mike earned his Masters in Educational Leadership from DePaul University, his Bachelors in Biology and Secondary Education from Northeastern Illinois University and a Certificate in Non for Profit Leadership from Kellogg School of Management.

Experience

Mike has spent two decades in education as a teacher, high school principal, Fusion Academy Head of School, and most recently as a Fusion District Vice President before stepping into his role at Sola Academy Evanston.

Fun Facts and Hobbies

  • Mike loves to cook and makes his own chili crisp and bacon every winter
  • He and his wife Kelly have two kids, Logan and Ryan and a dog named Emmie
  • He spends every morning working out with his friends at CrossFit
  • Audiobooks are his jam and his favorite authors are John Scalzi, Jeremy Robinson, and Andy Weir
